Digging for treasure...thrift store buying!!!

A thrift store just isn't a thrift store anymore!  When is the last time you went into a thrift store and felt like your time was wasted?  Exactly!  I can honestly say over the past 6 months or so, my local thrift store has been the place to go to.  There are times when I make plans to go and have an idea in mind of what it is I hope to find, but then there are times when I randomly stop in with no intentions of buying a darn thing, and those are the times when I feel like I've hit the jackpot.  Now I know at some point in time a thrift store was a storage place for anything old not being used or worn but now, clothing wise, you can find brands like Arden B...Ann Taylor...Forever 21...Gap...etc, and I'm sure it's all location location location, depending on where you go you could find yourself walking out with a luxury find.  Keep in mind, there are rules to this thrift store buying game:

1. Never just go to one thrift store...venture out and see what other locations have in store for you

2. Find out when their discount days are

3. While roaming about, speak to other shoppers and see if they can give you some type of insight as to what type of merchandise you can expect if you decide to frequent that particular location...ask them how their experiences were...it never hurts to ask!

4. Never set the bar too high, it is a thrift store, not Macy's!  That way you will never leave disappointed

5. Budget!  Even though it's a thrift store, don't go crazy, that can easily happen, so if you do plan to go, have a dollar amount you'd like to spend...you can get a lot for $25!!!

6. Have fun with it!

People are constantly shopping for things they don't need, know they will never wear, but nowadays people are more comfortable with letting go of those items instead of holding on to them...and those items my friend, could very well be in your local thrift store!
